Reverend Crystal Spindler said the night was absolutely fabulous and was well received by the guests.
The three course meal was organised by St John’s Anglican Church in order to show support for the farming community and their families during these tough times.
Reverend Crystal said the support was also for the families as they struggle with the farmer as well.
Several local organisations including Bernardi’s, Woolworths and Spotlight jumped on board to help St John’s Anglican Church prepare the event.
The free dinner was aimed at helping people in tough times to gather together to help support each other.
“It was lovely to show our appreciation for the farming community,” Reverend Crystal said.
On Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21, St John’s Anglican Church will be hosting evangelist and singer Doug MacFarlane.
Reverend Crystal said Doug has travelled throughout Australia for several years sharing his faith and belief in the Bible through music.
“As a leader, musician, songwriter and evangelist he will share on the gospel, pasting on hope, sharing his faith and he is bringing with him Mike Lord who was the first drummer for ACDC,” Reverend Crystal said.
For more information about Doug MacFarlane’s visit, contact the Parish Office on 68511544 or Reverend Crystal on 0408728638.
